Beautiful Blairsville!

Week two’s adventure led us straight into the Blue Ridge mountains, to beautiful Blairsville! Rich in history and breathtaking mountain views, Blairsville has it all!

Historic Blairsville Courthouse

Our first stop this morning was the coziest little coffee shop, Cabin Coffee. Located in the heart of historic downtown Blairsville, Cabin Coffee has a large coffee and espresso menu, and a delicious selection of breakfast items. The cinnamon roll and breakfast croissant were delightful!

After fueling up at Cabin Coffee we headed out to Georgia’s highest point, Brasstown Bald. A short hike (6/10 of a mile straight up) or a quick bus ride will lead you to some of the most incredible views our state has to offer. We lucked out, today was beautifully clear and we could see for miles and miles. A super special place and a must visit if you’re in the area.

Next up is a family favorite, Vogel State Park! Our family has been frequenting this park for decades. There’s hiking, camping, fishing swimming, biking, miniature golf, the list goes on! They also have adorable little cabins which you can rent through the state park. There truly is something for everyone at Vogel, we cannot recommend this park enough.

Just a quick 5 minute drive back down Highway 129 is an eclectic, family owned moonshine distillery you must try! Grandaddy Mimm’s offers 9 different flavors of moonshine (we tried them all y’all🤪) and a selection of delicious cocktails. Friendly service with moonshine that’ll set your world, and your throat, on fire! Don’t even think about skipping this Georgia gem!

Speaking of gems, we visited a gorgeous mountain resort and winery tucked up off of the main road not far from the distillery. Paradise Hills Winery Resort and Spa is located just off of 129 as well and is really something special y’all. We didn’t get to explore the grounds very much, but it had lovely vineyard views and the wine was fantastic! They offer a full spa and different spa/weekend packages, as well as several accommodation options. We’re so glad we stumbled upon Paradise Hills and we can’t wait to go back for a girls weekend!

For lunch the very kind owner of Paradise Hills suggested we head back down into Blairsville to The Aviator Cafe. Holy delicious! The Italian panini and the Blue Burger were scrumptious! There’s also a really cool story to the cafe, definitely give this place a try.

Our very last stop on the way out of town was Dixie Confexions Bakery and Cafe where we grabbed some sweet treats for the road. If you get the chance try their chocolate cake roll, it was drool worthy!

Blairsville, we pretty much love everything about you! Y’all, the mountains are calling and you MUST go!
